Founded in 1972, Crestwood Hills Pool is a 501(c)(7) nonprofit supported primarily through annual membership fees, which fund all operating expenses. The center is managed by a volunteer Pool Board, elected annually, with most members serving two-year terms.

All day-to-day operations and maintenance are carried out by dedicated volunteers. While membership fees are essential to the pool’s sustainability, the organization partners with local Knoxville churches to assist families with financial or special needs whenever possible—reinforcing its mission to serve the entire community.

Crestwood Hills Recreation Center is a family-friendly, community-run facility in Knoxville that offers a clean, welcoming environment without the crowds. The centerpiece is a spacious main pool, holding 220,000 gallons across 5,100 square feet, featuring two diving boards—including a 1-meter board—and a deep end that reaches 12 feet. A separate kiddie pool offers a safe space for young swimmers, with depths ranging from 1 to 2 feet.
